Races We Have Many, But Lives Only One
“Races we have many, but lives only one.”
Esteban Gutierrez, following the high speed and shockingly violent accident that saw Fernando Alonso fly and twist through the air and into the barrier at last weekend’s Australian Grand Prix. Amazingly, and only after embracing, both walked away unscathed.
Update: As it turns out out, Fernando Alonso suffered a broken rib and therefore a partially collapsed lung. He’ll recover quite quickly, and given the violence of the accident, I think unscathed is still appropriate.
