A man that made a living from opening his mouth and showering his audiences with amazing tone and subtlety, Luciano Pavarotti awed people from Beijing to Ohio with performances that could blow the roof off any auditorium. His language was universal, his voice utterly unique. His passion shone through with every performance, his charisma emanating from his larger than life personality.
Spending forty years singing his heart out, Pavarotti finally succumbed to pancreatic cancer and passed away in his home town of Modena in Italy early this morning. The music world has lost one its greatest ambassadors, the world has lost one its greatest tenors.
